FAQ’s

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is an assisted reproductive technique where eggs are fertilized with sperm in a laboratory, and the resulting embryo is transferred into the uterus to achieve pregnancy.

IVF is recommended for couples facing issues such as blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, ovulation disorders, endometriosis, unexplained infertility, or advanced maternal age.

A single IVF cycle typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks, including ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo transfer.

Most IVF procedures are minimally invasive. Some women may experience mild discomfort during injections or cramping after egg retrieval, but it is generally manageable.

IVF success rates depend on factors like age, medical history, and embryo quality. Younger women generally have higher success rates compared to women above 35 years.

Some women may experience bloating, mild abdominal discomfort, mood changes, or temporary hormonal side effects. Serious complications are rare and carefully monitored.

Some couples conceive in the first cycle, while others may require multiple attempts. The number varies depending on individual health factors.

Gender selection is legally restricted in India under the PCPNDT Act and is not offered except for specific medical reasons.

Maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding smoking and alcohol, managing stress, eating a balanced diet, and following medical advice strictly can improve success rates.

Couples should consult a specialist if:

  • They are below 35 and unable to conceive after 1 year of trying
  • They are above 35 and unable to conceive after 6 months
  • They have known medical or reproductive issues
